Installing Love on the Human computer

Just in time for Valentines day…

This is a program we should all download!

INSTALLING LOVE ON THE HUMAN COMPUTER

Customer: I really need some help. After much consideration, I’ve decided to install LOVE. Can you guide me through the process?

Tech Support: Yes, I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Customer: Well, I’m not very technical, but I think I’m ready to install it now. What do I do?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your HEART. Have you located your HEART?

Customer: Yes, I have, but there are several other programs running right now. Is it okay to install while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running?

Customer: Let’s see… I have PAST-HURT.EXE, LOW-ESTEEM.EXE, GRUDGE.EXE, and RESENTMENT.EXE running now.

Tech Support: No problem. LOVE will gradually erase PAST-HURT.EXE from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs. LOVE will eventually overwrite LOW-ESTEEM.EXE with a module of its own called HIGH-ESTEEM.EXE. However, you have to completely turn off GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.EXE. Those programs prevent LOVE from being properly installed. Can you turn those off? Continue reading Installing Love on the Human computer

New WordPress blogging platform

Hey everybody…

The summer is nearly over and I hope you all had a good one.

Recently, I changed my blog over to a WordPress based platform. This is a custom theme that I designed using my existing site style.

I can seemlessly create a WordPress platform interface for you as well as a standard php platform (without WP sidebar functionality)

Call or write to me to discuss more details.

Happy blogging!

Alan

Welcome back…Let’s continue where we left off.

The best way to understand Google Analytics is to have this blog entry open along side. Hope it helps.

Traffic Sources

The next category on the left side is traffic sources. Let’s take an in-depth look at this category and explore its sub categories further.

Overview

The first sub category is ‘Overview’. The graph indicates all the traffic sources and a total amount of visits. It will be broken down into Direct traffic, Referring sites and Search engines. Continue reading Google Analytics made (fairly) simple – part 2

Van Gogh’s Philosophy

Vincent Van Gogh

Van Gogh’s Philosophy

Simple and direct:

  1. Go to the museum as often as you can.
  2. Admire as much as you can; most people do not admire enough.
  3. Take as many walks as you can and keep your love of nature, for that is the true way to learn to understand art more and more.

Google Analytics made simple – part 1

Google Analytics is a very useful free service offered by Google to help you analyze your website’s visitor statistics.

Google analytics can help you determine pages that are under performing on your site. Once you have this data you can take the necessary decisions and make changes.

The data can show you how people have found your site and how they explored it. Having this information is very useful to improve your return on investment (ROI).

Making sure you understand and keep up with your statistics can help increase your revenue from the web. Continue reading Google Analytics made simple – part 1

The power of creativity

Paint brushes covered in paint
Expressing ourselves in a creative way is said to keep the mind and spirit young at heart.

Creativity is central to our health and well being. That is the conclusion of a recent study at George Washington University that has been assessing the health effects on seniors older than 65.

The seniors that took part in the study, participated in music, dance and arts and craft programs. The research found that over a period of time, these people were less prone to illness, doctor’s visits and depression too.  http://www.nea.gov/resources/accessibility/CnA-Rep4-30-06.pdf Continue reading The power of creativity

Planning your next website design

Web design words

Are you thinking about re-designing or creating a new website?

You might want to take a step back and evaluate your plan fully before you dive in.

It is crucial that you allocate enough time to pre-plan your next website and do the job properly.

As with any project, it’s better to be methodical than rush in and hope for the best.

If you paint a house from scratch, it is essential that you prime and repair the house to create a solid base to work from. Likewise, with a website, the preliminary decisions you take in the initial stage, will work to your advantage when the site is up and running. Continue reading Planning your next website design

Into me you see

Into me you see by Daniella Gordon

I recently had the privilege to work with my dear friend, Daniella Gordon, an extraordinary Swedish singer/songwriter who released an album by the name of “Into me you see”.

I designed her album artwork and interior 8 page booklet. Check it out: http://www.cashgraphix.com/packaging.php

I also worked on a series of short taster videos of Daniella introducing her songs. Here’s a couple:
